The Wellingborough Ladies had a frustrating game. As Nuneaton used their strength and match experience to bully boro off the ball today. However, despite the 3-0 score board the girls played simple ball to stick triangles along both sides of the pitch adapting brilliantly to the new formation Coyln set.
Special Mentions :
Evie for “using her weight “ to drive round the defensive back line
Jo’s banana run down to the base line and hit in to Gees deflection
Mels superman saves one after the other.
Kazza, Ella, Cathy and Emily B performed insane defending keeping us in the game and battling hard.
The Ladies also managed to use 5ice packs this game. One because Leanne decided that Em needed a large bruise on her knee so wacked the ball straight at her (for the second week in a row)
Jo and Emily B gained some lovely bruises on there arms.
And Alex fell completely out of her boat. For context Alex has a dodgy nerve and occasionally will capsize and hit the deck.
Emily B’s hard work won her man of the match her determination and drive with the ball and stop players on Saturday was unmatched. She held her ground against Nuneaton and stopped nearly all of their short corners by running number one.
The dick of the day went to Cathy for nearly having a fight with the whole other team and for getting a right telling off from the umpire. “NUMBER 15!” Gee described it as “you were like a Rottweiler “
